Cami and her son, Bauti

The 14th of August shall always be a particularly important day for me. It was the day I was able to meet Bautista, who is the son of my best friend Camila. The feeling to see my best friend with her son and being such a lovely mom, made me more emotional than what I am! (and I am VERY, believe me).

Bauti and me

The whole process of her pregnancy was for us a little bit sad, when she realized she was pregnant, I was living in Madrid (she was in Argentina) and I couldn't be part of her pregnancy. I blamed myself that I couldn’t be there for her to take her to the doctors or see her with her tummy. It was just something that I wish I had been able to. Yet, technology saved us. I remember the day we video called and I saw something in her eyes (as if she wanted to tell me something), and I asked: are you pregnant? And she said YES! And I had joyful tears wet my eyes. With time, we would video call and I would be update in what regards Bauti.

If you have ever been in that position, that your best friend is pregnant, you know all the mix feelings that accompany it: happiness, fear and so much love for someone that you haven’t even met yet but you know you will love him/her with all your heart.

While seeing Bautista with Cami and Cami’s husband (Felipe) my heart was so joyful! Seeing someone you love so much with her family and her little one is just something from other space, a magical moment.

Without knowing I have become an aunt. I am Bautista’s aunt (from the heart) and the love I have for that human being can’t be described. He will be spoiled and loved without measure from me. And that is what life is about, having surprises and experiences that make us grow, and being an aunt is something out of the world. Is one of the best feelings ever.

Thanks, Bautista, for arriving in our life.
